Contraception for Women in their 30s
You may have been taking the pill for years and perhaps your lifestyle has changed. You may have just had a child, are currently breastfeeding or considering having a child?
Contraception plays a vital part in your life from your 30s onwards. Perhaps you are at the stage where you are no longer interested in having a baby and LARC (Long Acting Reversible Contraception) may be the best option for you. No pills to take, no regimen to remember and some options (IUS) last up to five years.
Fertility may start to decline from your late 30s onwards although some women may still get pregnant in their 40s and even into their 50s. Some women can ovulate up to 12 months post menopause so it is still important to use contraception to avoid unwanted pregnancies. Always consult your healthcare professional about the contraception that best suits you.
