Long-Acting Contraception

Long acting contraception is a range of highly effective contraceptive methods that last for an extended period of time. They include the hormonal IUS, the copper IUD, the hormonal injection and the hormonal implant.

Long acting reversible contraception (LARC) are methods which are reversible, meaning that it is possible to remove them and your fertility (ability to get pregnant) will return to normal.

Long acting non-reversible contraception are methods which are permanent and and non-reversible.
